Conference Venue

The conference will be held from 6-9 May, 2019 at Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI), Bijenička cesta 54, Zagreb, Croatia.

There are daily regular flights from the majority of European cities to Zagreb International Airport, which is just 30-35 minutes’ drive from the Jadran Hotel.

Zagreb Bus Station and Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor (main railway station) are situated just 20 minutes’ walk distance from the Jadran Hotel.

From Venice, Vienna or Budapest, you can easily reach Zagreb. It takes three to four hours’ drive. Adriatic coast is just an hour and a half drive from Zagreb.

Getting from / to the airport

Taxi

One way ride costs between 110-250 kn (15-33 €) and takes about 30-35 minutes.

There are several Taxi companies who may charge different rates, so please check in advance or ask the chauffeur the approximate price! All taxies should be able to issue a receipt!

Shuttle Bus (Croatia Airlines)

There is a direct shuttle bus line between the Airport and Zagreb Bus Station on Marin Držić Avenue (Avenija Marina Držića) provided by Croatia Airlines - Pleso prijevoz company. One-way ticket costs 30,00 kn.

The Shuttle Bus Terminal is located at the front of the Airport.

From the Main Bus Station you can get to the city centre:

• On foot (20 minutes walking)
• By tram (take tram N°6 towards Črnomerec to get to The main square and from there take a walk towards the Jadran Hotel)
• By Taxi (you can find numerous Taxi's outside the Station building)

Public transportation (ZET - line 290)

In front of the Airport you can also find public transportation station. Line 290 (Kvaternikov trg – Velika Gorica) will take you to Kvaternikov trg and from there is only 10 minutes walk or 2-3 tram stations (hotel is between 2nd and 3rd station) to the Jadran Hotel. Bus ticket costs around 10kn bought on the bus.

Getting to the RBI

Public transport in Zagreb is covered by ZET company.

The best way to buy your tram or bus ticket is on the tobacco shop and there are three options:

• 30 min ticket for 4 kn (which is enough for the bus ride to the conference)
• 60 min ticket for 7 kn
• 90 min ticket for 10 kn

Please note that buying tickets on the bus will cost you little more and as following:

• 30 min ticket for 6 kn (which is enough for the bus ride to the conference)
• 60 min ticket for 10 kn
• 90 min ticket for 15 kn
